Ken Block, as known as the most influential rally driver, died on Jan 3rd, 2023. This death seems especially sad as we enter the start of a new year. Fortunately, Block left numerous achievements and victories for us to celebrate. In fact, we can still watch his heroic bearing in YouTube videos.
Rally Driving, a form of car racing, is famous for its long gametime and rough road choices. Rally drives can race in games that can last for several days. Not only do drivers need stamina, but also excellent reflexes and navigational skills to traverse rough roads.
Included in this article is a link to a wonderful video of a race in the big city, San Francisco. This was a closed road with many challenges. Ken Blocks drove with his Ford fiesta, which was the best rallying car during that time. He always wanted to act perfectly to his audience of the video. It has been viewed more than 110 million times. It’s undebatable that Block was popular—perhaps one of the most popular rally drivers of all time.
Block was a famous driver who could always attract people. His professional skills may have been the most important reason. The confident smile on his face is a symbol of victory. In every race, he drifts calmly to finish some difficult movements. To make perfect, he might need to repeat many times. A driver has to almost superhumanly persistent to make it like Ken Block.
But why are his drifting videos so compelling that millions of people have watched them? It must have something to do with Ken’s reputation in rally car races. He received many honors and awards in North America, and even in the world. Of course, the icing on the cake was the excellent videography team behind videos. There were many cameras in each corner to record. The team could spend a lot of time and money to support and promote him.
