Creative Writing Prompt:
Write 300 words of a fictional story in which the setting is critical to the story itself and the way the reader experiences the plot.
As you’re writing, it may be helpful to ask yourself: If I take away these details about the setting, do I have the same story? If not, then you’re doing it correctly! If the story is the same, try to better integrate the setting into the plot (ex. Weather changes, time-related conflict, etc.)
