Ted Kaczynski, known for building killing devices and escaping the FBI’s grasp, has been found dead at a prison medical facility in North Carolina on June 10th, 2023. The cause may be suicide.

Ted Kaczynski, a terrorist, avoided the FBI in many different ways. The Los Angeles Times post said “When he needed switches, he hand-carved them from hickory. He glued components together with epoxy that he made from the boiled hooves of deer he shot. In his primitive, 10-by-12-foot cabin near the Continental Divide in Montana, he sanded and filed, and polished parts to erase his fingerprints. He even peeled the skin off batteries to eliminate the lot numbers that could identify where they were sold.”

These unique and ingenious precautions helped him escape the FBI for 18 years until he was found in his plywood cabin in 1996 of April. In Ted Kaczynski’s 18-year rampage, he killed 3 and injured 23 more.

According to Los Angeles Times Post, the FBI spent well over 50 million USD just trying to catch him and an additional 1 million USD in prize money.

As a child Ted was smart, he skipped 2 grades and was the smartest kid in high school. He is a Harvard Graduate and a former UC Berkeley Professor.

Ted committed the murder of Hugh Scrutton, Thomas Mosser, and Gilbert R. Murray by using fake presents.

When he was found, he pleaded guilty and was charged with 8 life sentences instead of death.

According to Los Angeles Times Post, “Kaczynski spent most of his time behind bars in solitary confinement at the federal Administrative Maximum Facility”
