Objective: Students will be able to write a strong review for a book, movie, or even their day!
Essential Questions:
What is the purpose of a book review?
What are four strong ways to start a review?
What are some things to keep in mind when writing a review?
Enduring Understandings:
A book review's purpose is to help people decide whether or not the book would interest them enough to read it.
Four strong ways to start a review are with a quote, some interesting background, a fun fact, or an explanation of a term.
Four reminders when writing a review: Explain your opinion, persuade the reader, consider a work’s context, try to understand the artist’s intent.
