The best basketball player ever?

By: Samuel Guo

Steph Curry is one of six players in the NBA who currently averages more than 30 points per game, a testament to his incredible skills on the court.

Born in Akron, Ohio in 1988, Curry grew up with basketball in his blood as his father, Dell Curry, was an NBA player himself. After playing college basketball at Davidson College, Curry was selected as the seventh overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in 2009. Since then, he has been the face of the franchise and one of the most exciting players to watch in the NBA. "Steph is just on a different level. The way he sees the game, the way he moves on the court, it's like he's playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. His success is a testament to his hard work and dedication, but also to his natural talent and ability to make the impossible look easy." - Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors.

Curry's career highlights include being a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, six-time NBA All-Star, and three-time NBA champion. He is also the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made in a single season with 402 in the 2015-2016 season. Additionally, Curry has led the league in scoring twice and has been named to the All-NBA First Team five times. "I never really thought about being the MVP. It was never really a goal of mine. I just wanted to get better as a basketball player and help my team win games. But to be recognized in that way is definitely an honor and a blessing. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of not just myself, but my teammates, coaches, and everyone who has supported me along the way." - Steph Curry.
