As the old and fabled tales expose,
And the young and flourished men propose,
That riches and gold only go so far,
With some lavish clothes and views from a star.
Quiet and hidden, a real gem conceals
No wallet can hold, no man may steal.
Some may have dreamt of silver and gold,
But lies in your mind the wisdom stands bold.
Like water to seed,
Like honey to a bee,
Like gold is to greed,
Knowledge is truth, a truth to set free.
Hushed wisdom is knowledge
Never weary till dotage
We seek to pursue
But until then we improve.
Time is ticking away
And the rivers of treasure can't ever stay.
But knowledge is quiet, patient, and giving
It hides in the aged and seeks for the new,
To those who disdain, it is nonliving
But to all, there is one thing that stands true;
For if we had the answers
To questions and wonders
Our knowledge will concede
And silence becomes eternity
