Covid-19 Tweaks Nolan Arenado’s Schedule

Covid-19 made a change in pro baseball players Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt’s season. Due to Covid, many places required vaccines, including the Canadian government who requires 2 normal vaccines or 1 Johnson vaccine.

Covid-19 has not only disturbed Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt’s schedule, but many others too. Baseball was even postponed for a period of time before reopening after covid got better.

“People think that I was so miserable last year. I mean, 2020 was miserable for a lot of people,” Arenado said. “Regardless of whether you're playing baseball or not playing baseball, it was just a tough year in general. Obviously, playing baseball during that was tough, and then being hurt was not good either.”

You might be wondering who these people are; look next! Nolan Arenado was born April 16, 1991, and is an American professional baseball third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball otherwise known as MLB. Arenado is the top third basemen in the league because he hits for power and average and has good defensive skills.

He was the first infielder to win the Rawlings Gold Glove Award. His batting average is 0.296. He joined the Colorado Rockies in 2013 and transferred to the St Louis Cardinals in 2021.

Paul Goldschmidt also plays for the Cardinals and was born September 10, 1987, nicknamed Goldy, is an American professional baseball first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals MLB.

Since they are missing two games against the Toronto Jays, they will not be paid for the amount of 2 games. The amount of money that was lost for Arenado was $384,416 and Goldschmidt with $241,758.

Arenado would be replaced for a little bit by catcher Ivan Herrera and Paul Goldschmidt would be replaced by outfielder Cory Spangenberg. The cardinals have the 2nd best score in the National league at (51-46).

“There’s some things we need,” Arenado said. “It feels good when you add. We’re not out of it. We’re in it. I think that’s what is most important. We’re still in this thing. There’s no reason why we can’t take a big step forward in the second half.”
