Have you ever won a lottery? The odds are pretty low, so I don’t blame you if you’ve never won. However, last week, someone beat the odds and won $1.337 billion!
Someone in a Chicago suburb won the $1.337 billion Mega Million jackpot. We don’t know who it is yet, but people are waiting to find out and congratulate them.
"We are thrilled to have witnessed one of the biggest jackpot wins in Mega Millions history," Ohio Lottery Director Pat McDonald, the current Lead Director for the Mega Millions.
Consortium, said in a statement on the lottery's website. The win was the nation’s 3rd largest lottery prize. The odds of it occurring were 1 in 302.5 million! The winner has to be the world’s luckiest guy to win in those odds.
Many people don’t want to reveal their names when they win lotteries, because people will ask them for money and burglars will try to rob them. There will also be many scammers that target them. This is why publicly winning lotteries can lead to a scary and dangerous life.
One of my suggestions to those who win is to give some of the money to your family, and also put it in the bank so you won’t get robbed.
What would your reaction be if you won the lottery?
