Jay Johnston, an actor in the animated show “Bob’s Burgers,” was arrested in California on Wednesday for felony obstruction of police officers at the riot in The Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Jay Johnston was charged on four counts, including civil disorder and entering a restricted building. He was also identified in police body camera footage pushing officers and aiding other rioters. In addition, he was believed to have assisted other rioters by pouring water over their eyes after they were pepper-sprayed.

According to The Daily Beast, after providing the voice for his Bob’s Burgers character for 11 seasons, Johnston was banned from the show.

According to The New York Times, over 1,040 people were charged in connection with the attack on the Capitol. Prosecutors have stated that there could be as many as another 1,000 people who might face charges, according to people familiar with the matter.

Last month, Richard Barnett was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after being found guilty of eight criminal offenses.

The owner of a funeral home, Peter G. Moloney, was also charged on Wednesday. He is accused of spraying insecticide at officers in the Capitol and attacking members of the news media.
