A Dog’s Lament

Deemed as most affectionate

Living up to the applaud

Lively, friendly, sociable

It’s not easy, laying a smile endlessly

Can’t help my traits, forges me like a smile

Walks daily, alike neighborhoods

I seek to sniff some roses and flowers

To be hauled away by that choking leash

Moist wet food, how I yearn for some human diet

No need for luxury, just a pinch more company

Does it harm for few praise and attention
