Loss

When we lose someone that we love and look up to,

our experience is like a box of dark chocolates,

Both bitter and sweet.

For it brings loneliness and an empty void that may never be filled,

Yet also brings back memories that will never be forgotten.

It’s the event that holds us back,

But also drives us to move forward.

We’ll always miss those that leave us,

Friends, family, and our idols who inspire us.

And when we lose someone that we love and look up to,

We’ll realize then just how much we cared about them.
